Pearl Eugene Dooley, lifelong resident of Jerome, Iowa, passed away Thursday, March 24 [1966], in Artesia, Calif., where he was spending the winter. Born in Jerome, Iowa, Aug. 29, 1889, the son of Frank and Ollie Close Dooley, he was 76 years, six months and 25 days old at the time of his death.
He was married to Isral Carter who survives his passing, along with two children, Billy D. Dooley and Mrs. Maxine Yeater of Artesia, Calif., five brothers and two sisters: Earnest and Dewey, both of Jerome, Earl of Excelsior Springs, Mo., Grover of Whitefish, Mont., Roscoe of Marseilles, Ill., Mrs. Marie Olson, Ottumwa, and Mamie Lawton, Peoria, Ill.
He was a World War I veteran and a retired employee of the D and C Coal Co.
Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced later from the Johnson Funeral Home.
