Coza Miranda Dooley McKern, 1901-1996

  Coza McKern, 95, of Davenport died Monday, Aug. 5, 1996, in Davenport.
  She was born Feb. 10, 1901, in Urbana, Mo., the daughter of Charles and Stella (Phelps) Dooley.
  She married Eugene McKern Feb. 6, 1918, in Centerville. He preceded her in death Sept. 23, 1971.
  Survivors include a son, Carl and his wife, Pat, of Davenport; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
  Also precedding her in death were her parents; six brothers; four sisters; a son, Bruce McKern; a daughter, Marcella Inskeep; two granddaughers; and a great-granddaughter.
  She was raised in the Mystic and Jerome area where she spent most of her life. She and her husband farmed. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Jerome.
  Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Lange Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Schweizer officiating. Burial will be in the Jerome Cemetery. Visitation will be all day today, Wednesday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
  A memorial has been established and may be left at the funeral home.
