Margaret "Ellen" Anderson, 1918-2001

  Services for Margaret "Ellen" Anderson, 82, Moline, are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Wendt Funeral Home, Moline. Burial is in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Moline.
  Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Evangelical Free Church, Moline, where she attended, or WDLM Christian radio station.
  She died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001, at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
  She was born April 9, 1918, in Jerome, Iowa, the daughter of Henry [Purdy] and Edith Mae Dooley. She married Paul L. Anderson Aug. 14, 1935, in Centerville, Iowa.
  She was a former Girl Scout, Cub Scout and Brownie leader, and was also active in the Pioneer Girls' Club and in all school activities (PTA, etc.).
  Survivors include a daughter, Edyth Hogan, Davenport; sons, Larry Anderson, Bettendorf, and Robert Anderson, Davenport; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, David Purdy, Donna, Texas, and Donald Purdy, Hemphill, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
