  Harry Watson Wray, 90, of Numa died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, at the Centerville Nursing & Rehab Center.

  He was born May 9 1910, in Corydon, the son of Charles and Sarah (Cunningham) Wray.

  He married N. Mildred Stevens June 3, 1936. She preceded him in death Jan. 23.

  Survivors include a son, Ivan Wray and his wife, GailMae, of Numa;p a daughter, Mabeth Natzke and her husband, Gale, of Davenport; three sisters, Katherine Politovich of Oroville, Calif., Nina Stierwalt of Stillwater, Okla., and Juanita Hutson of Vidalia, La.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

  Also preceding him in death were his parents; an infant daughter, Donna Wray; four brothers, Clyde, Tyler, Lee and Eugene Wray; a sister, Bernadine Dykes; and a great-grandson.

    He received his education in a rural Wayne County School. He farmed several farms in Appanoose County and received the Soil Conservation Award in 1950 and 1962. He was a member of the New Providence Baptist Church in Confidence.

  Joint funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Centerville with the Revs. Bob James, Dale Shadoniz and Robert Pick officiating. Burial will follow in the Livingston Cemetery south of Numa.  Joint visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the New Providence Baptist Church or Livingston Cemetery and contributions may be left at the funeral home.

  Nina "Mildred" Wray, 88, of Numa died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.

  She was born July14, 1912, in Centerville, the daughter of Levi and Minerva (Jennings) Stevens.

  She married Harry Wray June 3, 1946, in Centerville. He survived her at the time of her death.

  Other survivors include a son, Ivan Wray and his wife, GailMae, of Numa; a daughter, Mabeth Natzke and her husband, Gale, of Davenport; two sisters, Leona Keller of Des Moines and Dorothy Reames of Newton; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

   She graduated from Centerville Community Schools and taught school for four years. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the New Providence Baptist Church in Confidence and the Women's Missionary Circle.

  Joint funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Centerville with the Revs. Bob James, Dale Shadonix and Robert Pick officiating.   Maxine Tharp, age 81, of Unionville, MO died on Saturday, November 27, 1999 at the Mercy Medical Center in Centerville, IA. She was born the daughter of Melvin and Bertha Gail (Hixenbaugh) Printy on February 23, 1918 in Walnut City, IA. She graduated from the Plano Community Schools.

  Maxine was united in marriage on November 7, 1936 at Centerville, Iowa to Burdett Tharp. She was a homemaker. Maxine was a member of the Mt. Herman United Methodist Church near Unionville, MO, where she was a Sunday School Superintendent.

  Maxine was preceded in death by: an infant daughter; brotghers, Alvin T. Printy, Charles Printy and Mervin Printy; sister, Ruby Morris.

  Surviving family members are: husband, Burdett Tharp of Unionville, MO; son, Paul and his wife, Helen Tharp of Shawnee, KS; daughters, Gail and her husband, Ivan Wray of Numa, Iowa, Sharon and her husband, Jim Burns of Exline, Iowa and Margaret Stottlemyre of Unionville, MO; sisters, Margaret Hartman of Athens, GA; Bernice King of Chariton, Iowa and Anna Swan of Promise City, Iowa; brothers, Emmett Printy of Mesa, AZ; Lewis Printy of Melrose, Iowa and Robert Printy of Maple Plain, MN; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 1999 at 1:30 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, IA, with the Rev. Harley Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in the Jerome Cemetery in Jerome, IA.

  Visitation was held from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, November 30, 1999 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, IA. The family received friends between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm.

  Burdett Otto Tharp, age 86, of Unionville, MO, died Thursday, April 11, 2002 at the Kirksville Manor Care Center in Kirksville, MO. 
  He was born on July 29, 1915 in Numa, Iowa, the son of Harry and Anna Mae (Ewurs) Tharp. He received his education in Numa Community Schools.

  Burdett was united in marriage to Maxine Printy on November 7, 1936 in Centerville, Iowa. He worked in the coal mines and was a farmer. He was baptized at the North Bend Christian Church and attended the Mt. Hermon Methodist Church.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Maxine Tharp on November 27, 1999, one daughter in infancy; one brother, Paul Tharp and one sister, Bessie Hixenbaugh.

  Survivors include son, Paul Tharp and his wife, Helen of Longmont, CO; daughters, Gail Wray and her husband, Ivan of Numa, IA, Sharon Burns and her husband, Jim of Exline, IA and Margaret Stottlemyre of Unionville, MO; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Berniece Butler of Centerville, IA.

  Funeral services were held on Monday, April 15, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, IA with Rev. Robert Peck of Grace Tabernacle Baptist Church officiating. Burial followed at the Jerome Cemetery in Jerome, Iowa.

  Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14, 2002 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, IA with the family present from 6:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday evening.

  Baylyn and Brylyn Wray died Monday October 3, 2005 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, IA.

  They were born October 3, 2005 at Des Moines Mercy Hospital the twin children of Lacy Wray. Also surviving is grandmother Christine Repp of Centerville, great grandfather Ivan Wray of Numa, IA, great grandmother Donnabell Repp of ____ and an uncle Lucas Repp of Mendota, MO. Preceded in death by great grandmother Gail Wray and great grandfather Richard Repp.

  Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday morning at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, Centerville with Pastor James Altamier officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Friday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Jerome Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the family and may be left or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 South 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.

  Gail Mae Wray, age 66, of Numa died Friday, June 4, 2004, at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. 
  She was born the daughter of Burdett O. and Violet Maxine (Printy) Tharp on February 23, 1938 near Walnut City. She graduated from the Newton Community Schools in 1956.
  Gail Mae was united in marriage to Ivan Wray on February 25, 1956 in Knoxville. She worked in the Food Service Department at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital for over 24 years. She was a member of the Church of the Nazerene in Marshalltown. She and her husband made their home south of Numa for many years.
  She was preceded in death by: her parents and a sister in infancy.
  Gail Mae was survived by: her husband, Ivan Wray of Numa; daughters, Charlotte Wray of Centerville, Carla Cormeny and her husband, Larry of Moravia, Cheryl Wray of Kirkland, Wash., Carol Wray and husband,
  James Rollman of Madison, Neb., and Christine Repp of Centerville; son, Chad Wray and his wife, Roni of Belton, Mo.; sisters, Sharon Burns of Exline and Margaret Stottlemyre of Unionville, Mo.; brother, Paul Tharp of Longmont, Colo.; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
  Funeral services will be held today, Tuesday, at 10 a.m. at Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville with Robert Pick officiating.  Burial will follow at the Jerome Cemetery near Jerome. Public visitation was held on Monday at the funeral home.
