Mystic -- Everett Stout, 51, passed away Thursday afternoon [20 March 1947] at 1:30 p.m. at the Veterans Hospital in Knoxville, Ia., where he had been a patient for the past eight years. He was a veteran of World War I.
The deceased was a long time and well known resident of Mystic [born 16 February 1897] and his passing brings a chain of sorrow to his many relatives and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Coy [Dooley], one daughter, Aline, his mother, Sara Stout, six brothers and four sisters.
The brothers are Huey of Melrose, Ia.; Mike of Brazil, Ia.; Guy of Chicago, Ill.; Jobbie of West Allis, Wis.; Walter of Des Moines, Ia.; Eddie of Mystic.
The sisters surviving are Mrs. H. E. Rasmussen, Huxley, Iowa; Mrs. George Beers, Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Rex Blain, Knoxville, Ia.; Mrs. Matt Lammers, Des Moines, Ia.
Funeral services will be held from the U. B. Church in Mystic Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. and will be a military funeral with the American Legion having complete charge. Rev. William Blair, Napa, Calif., nephew of the deceased, will officiate and burial will be in the Jerome cemetery.
