Obituary: Wesley R. Kelly

  Wesley R. Kelly was born in Buffalo, Mo., July 29, 1902, the son of Samuel and Grace Dooley Kelly, and died at his home in Albia Aug. 6, 1957, at the age of 55 years and eight days.
  His early life was spent in Missouri and he lived for several years in Newton before coming to Albia in 1949.
  His marriage to Talitha Harger took place Sept. 21, 1947, in Unionville, Mo.
  They operated the taxi business here from 1949 until 1953, and then established a furniture repair shop which they were operating at the time of Mr. Kelly's death.
  Survivors are his wife; a step-son, Orval Harger of Des Moines; three step-daughters, Mrs. Edith Woolridge of Des Moines and Mrs. Rubie Kline and Mrs. Edna See, both of Albia; a foster son, John Bogle; and three sisters, Mrs. Violet Stover of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Elsie Abernathy of St. Paul, Minn., and Minnie Bogle of Versailles, Mo.
  He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marie; and a step-daughter, Letha Carter.
  Funeral services, with Elder Robert Zimmerman of Lovilia officiating, were Aug. 9 at the Reorganizated Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Albia.  Burial was in Jerome, Ia., cemetery.
