Anna Zemo, 72, of Centerville, died Jan. 27, 1988, at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital in Centerville.
She was born July 6, 1915, at Jerome, Iowa, to Toney and Mary Spollar Yonavich. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville, and had been employed at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse and later worked for 15 years for Dr. Anthony Owca in Centerville. She married Steve Zemo Oct. 24, 1937, at Centerville.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Betty Belloma of Waterloo; a son, Richard of Centerville; two grandchildren; two sisters, Lena Kauzlarich of Centerville, and Nancy Barbaglia of Mystic; and a brother, Toney Yonavich of Las Vegas, Nev.
A funeral Mass was at 10 a.m. Saturday of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville, Father Al Ebach officiating.
Burial was in Oakland Cemetery at Centerville.
A memorial has been established to St. Mary's School.
