Lorene A. "Boots" (Davenport) Walker, 1911-1995

  Lorene A. (Boots) Walker, 84, of Centerville died Monday, Oct. 16, 1995, at St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital.
  She was born March 12, 1911, in Jane, Mo., the daughter of Joseph and Ellen (Lamb) Davenport.
  She married Raymond Walker Feb. 9, 1932, in Kemmerer, Wyo. He survives.
  Also surviving are a son, Loren Walker and his wife, Sheila, of Centerville; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
  She was raised in Wyoming, living there until 1950 when she and her husband moved east of Udell and farmed.  They stayed on the farm until retirement in 1978. She attended the Fairview Brethren Church and was active in the Ladies Aid organization. She was a homemaker and a volunteer at the 18-80 Club.
  Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, at the Lange Funeral Home in Centerville with the Rev. Charles Grove officiating.  Burial will be in the Jerome Cemetery. A family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and friends may call all day Wednesday and Thursday morning.

  Memorials to the Fairview Church and the 18-80 Club have been established and may be left at the funeral home.
