Paul C. Morris, age 84 of Mystic, Iowa passed away October 13, 2009 at Continental Care Center in Seymour, Iowa.
Paul was born November 4, 1924, the son of James G. and Esther Lily (Day) Morris on the family farm in Jerome, Iowa. He was born the fourth child out of nine.He graduated from Centerville High School in the early 1940s. Paul married Aera Jane Moore on June 30, 1943 in Unionville, Missouri. After high school he served his country in the United States Air Force.

After his military career, Paul farmed for a short period of time before moving to Denver, Colorado. He went to work at the Brick and Tile Factory and Lowry Air Force Base in Denver. Paul later worked for Martin Marietta in the quality assurance division. He also worked in the tractor division McCarty Sherman Implement in Denver.In 1960, Paul moved back to Iowa to farm and ran the Farmers Southtown Feeder Supply in Centerville.
Paul is survived by his children, Edwin Lee (Harriett) Morris of Marion, Iowa, Linda Jane (Janine) Morris of Meridian, Idaho, C.W. (Clarissa) Morris of Mystic, Iowa; grandchildren, Julia L. (Jim) Wittnebel of Marion, Iowa, Andrew Morris of Ankeny, Iowa, Katherine (Steven) Drake of Centerville, Iowa, Terri (Michael) Arbogast of Numa, Iowa, Andrea E. Morris of St. Paul, Minnesota; great grandchildren, Alexander J. Wittnebel of Marion, Iowa, Ashlee Post of Ottumwa, Iowa, Derek Drake of Centerville, Iowa, Ranee J. Arbogast of Numa, Iowa, Abigail Arbogast of Numa, Iowa, Peter Wittnebel of Marion, Iowa, and Marcus Paul Drake of Centerville, Iowa; a sister, Mary Lou Morris of Jerome, Iowa; brothers, James Morris and John Morris; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Aera J. Morris on January 17, 2007; his parents; siblings, Jeanette Condra, Carolyn Leaming, Martha Cline, Joanne Long, and Charles Morris.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM, Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Lange Funeral Home with Pastor Marvin Martin officiating. Burial will follow at the Concord Cemetery near Mystic, Iowa. A visitation will be held Friday at the funeral home with family present from 6-8 PM. A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society and may be left at or mailed to the Lange Funeral Home 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
