Maurine Streepy, 80, of 215 South 15 Street, died Monday, October 10, 1977, in St. Joseph Hospital, Centerville.
Born in Appanoose County June 21, 1897, she was the daughter of John and Elvira Bradley Sidles. She was a longtime school teacher in this county, having taught school many years in Moravia, Udell and Exline. Mrs. Streepy was a longtime member of Jerome Methodist Church.
She was married to Guy Strepy (sic) in this county October 17, 1929, and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers in infancy.
Surviving are one sister, Orpha Deibert, Sac City; three nieces, Louise Hunt, Centerville; Margaret Begtrup, California; Vera Birchard, Bloomington, Ill.; and two nephews, Merrill Condra, Numa, and Dr. J. Robert Rinker, Augusta, Ga.
The body is at the Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced later.

Services for Maurine Streepy, 80, of 215 South 15th Street, Centerville, will be Thursday, 1:30 p.m. in Jerome Methodist Church. The Rev. David Dunsmore will officiate, and burial will be in Eaton Cemetery. The body will be at Johnson Funeral Home in Centerville until noon Thursday.
Mrs. Streepy died Monday in St. Joseph Hospital.
