Wilbur Minard, former resident of this
county, died Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the hospital in Mt. Pleasant, at the age of
44 years, 5 months, and 3 days.
He was born in Mahaska County, Iowa, May 12,
1913, the son of William and Ada Sprigg Minard.
He was married to Jennie Christy in 1933.
Surviving are his widow, six children, Mrs.
Emma Lee Leopard of Plano, Mrs. Donna Gene Noah, Hammond, Ind.; Walter,
Richard, Sandra, and J.R. at home; his parents, two sisters and three
brothers. He was preceded in death by
one child.
The body will be at the Johnson Funeral Home
until 1 p.m. Thursday. Graveside services will be held at the Jerome cemetery
at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
