Marcella Monette Inskeep was born September
1, 1918 in Jerome, Iowa, the daughter of Eugene and Coza (Dooley) McKern. She passed away Friday, April 3, 1992, at St.
Joseph’s Mercy Hospital, Centerville, Iowa at the age of 73 years, seven months
and two days.
She was united in marriage to Wesley T.
Inskeep in Unionville, Missouri, October 18, 1938 and to this union four
children were born.
Marcella was a cook for the Seymour School
District for ten years and a member of the Seymour Legion Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her father,
Eugene; a daughter, Sharon; a brother, Bruce McKern and a granddaughter, Megan
Inskeep.
Survivors include her husband, Wesley of
Seymour, two daughters, Vicki Twerten of Boston, Massachusetts, and Jeanie
Bigcanoe of Rockford, Illinois; one son, Steven and wife, Kim Inskeep of
Knoxville, Iowa; seven grandchildren; her mother, Coza McKern of Centerville;
one brother, Carl (Pat) McKern of Davenport, Iowa; and a host of other
relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 7,
1992 at 11 a.m. from the Randolph Funeral Home, Seymour, Iowa with Pastor Paul
Smith officiating. The hymns “Amazing
Grace” and “The Lord’s Prayer” were sung by Milton Albertson, accompanied by
Bernace Kerwin, pianist.
Paulbearers were Pat Stiel, Max Rash, David
Snider, Harold Swank, Curt Schavaneback and Ray Tresemer. Interment was in the Jerome cemetery.
