Jennie Sacco, age 88, died Thursday, May 3,
2007 at the Golden Age Care Center, Centerville.
Jennie was born Sept. 17, 1918, the daughter
of Everett and Susan (Fisher) Christy in Jerome.
She married Wilbur LeRoy Minard. He preceded
her in death. She later married Vince Sacco in Centerville. He preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 1982.
Jennie and Vince owned and operated Sacco Cab
Service in Centerville for many years.
Jennie loved nature, especially bird watching. She enjoyed crocheting, latch hooking, cross
word puzzles, going on trips with the 18-80 Club and spending time with her
family. Jennie was a member of the
Methodist Church in Plano.
Jennie is survived by three daughters, Emma
Lee Leopard of Plano, Donna Jean Brandon of Centerville, and Sandi (Junior)
Robbins of Cincinnati; two sons, Walter LeRoy (Rita) Minard of Nampa, Idaho,
and James Richard (Bee) Minard of Suffolk, Va.; a daughter-in-law, Roberta
Minard; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and
great-great-grandchildren. Jennie was
preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; two children, Virginia May
Minard and Wilbur Minard, Jr.; two grandsons, Eddie Dean Brandon and Tim Leslie
Leopard.
A visitation will be held Friday, May 4, at
the Thomas Lange Funeral Home with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home all day
on Friday. A private burial will take
place at a later date.
A memorial has been established to the Golden
Age Care Center Aviary Fund and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange
Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
